A properly preserved gown makes an unforgettable keepsake or  a treasured heirloom. When you pass your gown down to that special person, make sure it is in as good condition as it was the day you bought it.

Your gown may appear clean after wearing, but often gowns have hidden soil such as body oils, perspiration, food spills. These may not be immediately apparent, but with age will oxidize and appear as stains and may even weaken the fabric of your dress.

 

The Preservation Process

Our gown specialists will examine your gown and select the most appropriate cleaning method. Your gown will be cleaned with the utmost care, paying special attention to delicate details.

We then seal your dress in a pH controlled, acid-free, humidity controlled box.
We then purge the oxygen and replace it with an inert gas to virtually prevent any oxidation and yellowing. The “other” companies just put the gown in a box leaving it unprotected. We remove the oxygen; this is what defines a “true” preservation.

After sealing the gown, we then carefully place the sealed box into a durable outer storage box for additional safety.
